Dear ACA Meetings, Intergroups, Regions, Delegates and Observers,

We are writing with important updates regarding ACA’s upcoming Conference Business Meeting (CBM), which will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, from 9 am to 5 pm eastern US, on Zoom. If you have any questions, please email us at abc@acawso.org.

Registering delegates: To participate in Conference Business Meetings, all groups must state in writing that they have chosen a representative through group conscience.

The registration process opens up on Aug. 15, and the deadline for registering a new delegate, or updating an existing registration, is Sept. 21. Important information and a form for registering a representative is available on the Conference web page, www.adultchildren.org/business-meetings.

If your group’s delegate signed up for the 2026 ABC (which was held in May), they remain your registered delegate, and no further action is needed at this time. Your delegate will continue to receive emails with information about the next CBM.

If your group has not designated a delegate, we urge you to discuss this at a business meeting. Instructions for registering a first-time delegate, or replacing a current delegate, are available at www.adultchildren.org/business-meetings. In addition:

  1. If your group also has someone willing to be an alternate delegate, your delegate should fill out the alternate delegate form on the Conference webpage.
  2. We also encourage anyone from your group to be an observer at the CBM to experience ACA world service firsthand. Many new delegates first familiarized themselves with the ACA Conference by attending as an observer. To register as an observer, go to www.adultchildren.org/business-meetings.

About the agenda: A draft agenda is in early development. It will be posted on the Conference webpage in early September. A priority survey will be emailed to all groups and delegates shortly after the draft agenda is posted. This survey will guide final drafting of the September agenda.

Thank you as always for your service. The ACA World Service Organization’s core goal is to serve the world ACA fellowship. The Conference is the voice of the fellowship. It plays an essential role in setting ACA service priorities.

We hope to see you Sept. 26.

Charlie H.,

Chair, ABC/CBM Committee
