If you don't already have the app, the first thing you'll need to do is download WhatsApp to your phone, which can be done here: http://www.whatsapp.com/downlo
Open that link, select Android or iPhone depending on the phone you have, then follow the prompts to install. Alternatively, you can search for WhatsApp in the Google Play Store for Android, or the App Store for iPhone. Once installed, open the app, enter your phone number, and complete the account verification process. You'll be texted a code to enter into the app to confirm your phone number. Some phones will complete this step automatically. Add a profile photo if you'd like, as well as your name.
Once app setup is complete, open the first link above to be added to the group chat.
