2022 Retreat Planning Committee
Hi there! Excited for the 2022 Retreat?
This year, it will be happening Thursday May 19th to Sunday May 22nd at the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp.

At the November meeting, we will be hearing an update about our camp reservation, as well helping choose a theme for the retreat. We'll also be brainstorming about workshops and activities.

We would love for you to join, give your voice and perspective, and help us reach group consciousness in these decisions.

The meeting will be held over Zoom. Please email acaportlandretreat@gmail.com to get onto the Retreat Planning Committee Email list and receive the Zoom link to this and future meetings.

ACA SPEAKERS MEETING FLYER

Hello Oregon Intergroup (and all ACAs everywhere!)

By Group Conscience:
The Portland Retreat Committee has voted to move the October 2021 retreat to the weekend of May 19th, 2022.

This was a difficult decision to make. So many of us are feeling the effects of extended social isolation.

The annual workshop is a weekend that many of us look forward to and cherish as safe space for fellowship and deep exploration of the workshop topics. However, the unpredictability of fall weather and the continuing pandemic make it increasingly unlikely to be able to hold a large gathering indoors, especially considering that attendees will be bunking, eating, and sharing bathrooms together.

The committee has discussed having a one-day outdoor gathering in the early fall. We are looking for ACA members to help brainstorm this gathering, from where it could be held, to what kind of activities we would offer, to what date would be best to host it. The date for an upcoming meeting is TBA.

The more members we have to plan, the greater group conscience we have. If you are willing to help plan, email us to make sure you’re on the ACA retreat meeting list to take part in this discussion and planning.
You can also email acaportlandretreat@gmail.com with questions.

ACA Oregon Retreat 2021 First Planning Meeting: Sunday, January 31st, 2PM, ZOOM

At last, the moment we’ve all been waiting for– it’s time to start planning an in-person retreat!
This year, the retreat is scheduled to be at Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, on October 14th-17th, a full month earlier than previous years.
Considering the constantly changing nature of the pandemic, it is possible that we might need to postpone the retreat again.  However, we also want to plan for the possibility that it WILL be safe to gather and room together, and to have a retreat similar to previous years.

This includes building our roster of workshop and activity leaders, fundraising considerations, and taking on different tasks to make sure the retreat happens.

If you would like to join in, please email acaportlandretreat@gmail.com for the Zoom link.

 ACA Interplay
October 11th, November 8th, and December 13th
7 pm to 8 pm
via Zoom, free with email RSVP
This is an interactive workshop that explores how moving our bodies helps us connect to our true selves and unbury feelings inside us. Participants will stretch together, practice light, playful movements, and be prompted to share in a low stakes and spontaneous way about the thoughts and feelings arising for them.

More details about Interplay can be found at www.interplay.org or by emailing the Retreat Committee at acaportlandretreat@gmail.com
