Socially Distant Group Bike Ride

Loosely sponsored by the Portland Retreat Committee

The first “outdoor and socially-distant” ACA social events

Tomorrow, Saturday 18-July-2020 @ 15:00 (3:00 pm) starting at parking lot of Rivereast Center 1515 SE Water Ave, Portland, OR 97214

There will be 2 phases: a short loop ride; followed by an optional longer loop.

  1. Ride A: goes South along the East Bank Esplanade to the Tilikum Crossing Bridge; West over the Willamette River to the bike route along SW Moody Avenue; North along waterfront park; East via the Morrison Bridge & South again to the start (near the east bank swimming dock).  Total distance = 3 miles in about 30 minutes.
  2. Ride B: for those wanting more: starts after ride A; but goes south past the Tilikum onto the Springwater Corridor all the way to the new Sellwood bridge; West over the river; then North to the Tilikum; East across the bridge and back to start.  Total distance = 8.2 miles in roughly 1 hour.

Requirements: Each rider should be at least moderately fit, and have their own bike, water & mask. Helmets strongly encouraged!!

at Seabeck Retreat Center, Seabeck, Washington
We hope to offer a weekend focused on The Twelve Steps and other tools of recovery
An opportunity to move out of isolation 
and share Experience, Strength and Hope with others who know how you feel

If you are receiving a scholarship from an individual meeting please include the scholarship money with your payment.
Service is an important part of Recovery. Without Volunteers our Retreats would not happen.

lead a Family Group, serve on the Safety Committee…..or help in some other way, please let us know!
