This is an unofficial announcement that there are a couple of informal, impromptu ACA non sponsored fun events that are planned for this weekend in the local Portland area. Very, very informal and just for the fun of getting out and doing something with people we can feel safe to adventure with.
1st Event: Saturday night 11:59 pm show of the Rocky Horror Picture Show.
We’ll meet at 11:30pm outside the Clinton Street Theatre. It is $8.00 to get in and their website has lots of info about it, including directions to it and theatre approved props that can be brought to participate in the fun that goes on while the movie plays. The website is: www.cstpdx.com.
2nd Event: Sunday at 2pm, meet up at Cathedral Park (under the St. John’s Bridge) and we’ll hike across the St. Johns bridge and up into Forest Park. Directions to Cathedral Park from Hwy 30 are to take the St. Johns bridge across the Willamette, take a left at the light, take another immediate left onto N. Alta. Travel down the hill (2 blocks) and take a left again on Willamette. There is parking under the St. John’s bridge on the right. If you want an address to put into the GPS or phone map app, use the Burgerville address of 8671 N. Ivanhoe Street, Portland 97203. It sits on the corner of N. Alta that you’ll want to take to go down the hill to under the bridge.
